All of a sudden, in my Editor, my cursor has decided to look like the ghost of 3 little hands in a horizontal row. With this triplet, I cannot see the "point" of my cursor and I can't grab a corner to resize (for instance). I've tried Options and Profiles and all sorts of reclicking on the Move tool. Anyone every heard of this? I'd love to get back to just a plain old arrow cursor.

Bev,
You may need to reset preferences. As you start the editor, press and hold ctrl-shift-alt. You will see a dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

Before I do that, will deleting the settings file lose all my settings or just set them back to default. If I delete the settings file, then do I Exit and come back in to a new one?

It deletes all your settings in the "Preference" dialog and sets them back to the default. Sometimes the settings file gets corrupted, so just resetting the preferences from the menu choice doesn't work.
So, exit the editor, then restart using the ctrl-alt-shift method, delete your settings. Then see if your cursor is fixed.

I'm a Mac user so not great with windows but I have heard about three cursors with Windows 7 ...
If you set your Windows display to have a text size larger than 100%, PSE will exhibit some glitches in its user interface The Editor on Windows 7 can show a mouse cursor for some tools that looks like three distorted shadows of the true cursor. You’ll need to reduce the Windows text size to less than 150% (149% works fine).
I wonder if that is the problem ?

I did restart and it is better but not perfect. I am now getting a cursor when I am in the desktop or working on a file; but when I go over to the Layers bin and try to click on a layer or between a layer e.g. clipping mask, I still have the ghosts. I see the post below and will try that. Thanks!

Thanks, Wendy!!! That was the trick. I reduced my text size to 100% (got away from the 150%) and that does it! Huge Thank You! I also did the Ctrl-Alt-Shift on opening and that seemed to clear up some Preferences issues when I was working on the pic or page itself. Nice to have good friends....

Hi Bev ...
Glad to help ... being a Mac user I can't usually help with Windows problems but I remembered seeing a couple of post on other forums about the triple cursor issue
