Burn Tool: Colors?

The Burn Tool has several settings Highlights Midtones and Shadows ... if you have something like a parchment coloured paper then using different ones on it gives different effects. Its always worth trying each of them to see which works best on the image

OK, I'm still confused. I'll tried the above mentioned tips, but I may also have missed a step as I couldn't get it to work. What I'd like to know is in the April Premier addition, Paper Doiley by Christina Rambo, her burn tool is definitely "green". I've done this tutorial twice now and I can't figure out how she made it green. I made sure I copy & paste the papers are instructed and I merged the white paper and the doiley and then hit Ctrl E to join the white paper and doiley. My burn tool is definitely black. The final result is not great. I would like to make a great looking doiley as taught. What does anyone think of Christina's burn tool being green.

I've never post to a forum before. I use PSE 9 on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I'm a beginner at PSE.
