Default How many times can you transfer PSE 9 ?

I get a new computer every 3 years and I used to transfer my PSE 5 to each one but I guess the newer versions won't let you do that. How about if you de-activate the software each time?

Yes, you'd need to deactivate your software when you transfer it to a new computer. The last time I checked, Adobe allows installation on a PC and a laptop. But when you contact them to deactivate your version of Elements, just ask them if that policy has changed.

I think you can deactivate right in the software - in the Help menu. That's what I did and had no problems installing on my new laptop.

As long as you deactivate on your old computer then you can install on a new one. Also you will be able to do that as many times as you wish ... just as long as each time you remember to deactivate

Thanks, that makes sense because otherwise someone could buy the disc and pass it around to everyone in the company and Adobe would loose out on sales. I am surprised they didn't do that on my PSE 5 software. It's been in about 5 of my computers. Also; 5 would only allow 65 pictures opened and edited in one window at 800 kb each but today I opened 200 of them in one window with by new PSE 9, and closing them was a breeze with that script I downloaded for it. I closed all of them in about 5 seconds as opposed to clicking "don't save" for each one before.

Personally. I wouln't admit to breaking licensing agreements on a public forum even though you're talking about an old version. Trust even 5's agreement said the same thing. But yes, am sure that's why they made the changes.

Glad your script is working well for you. Scripts can certainly save a person time. Enjoy.
