Default using large text file from Word

I am struggling with a way to use Word to format and then place it in Editor. I have left some room on the text page for some elements. I cut the centre out of the paper to have just a border.

Is there an easier way to do this?

I need help. Maybe I will have to split the text into two sections and do it on 2 pages. i am unhappy with this so far. Still want to add a picture of the pipette.

My page is called Early years. I forget how to put the link here.http://digitalscrapper.com/forums/ga...rname=muskokan

    hope that works

Grace, I know this isn't helpful for you right now, since you have PSE 8, but in PSE 10 you can create paths to type inside of, which means you can also leave places for elements. The type won't flow from one column to the other, though, so that is the only drawback.

Here's one thing you can try: Format your type in Word or other type of word processor and import the file as an image with a white background into the Editor. (I never do that, so don't know anything about that process.)

Once you get it into PSE, change the blend mode to Darken to get rid of the white. You should be able to put it over any paper and have it show up as regular type.
