I downloaded the videos to my computer, but can't open them with Windows media player. I don't have a problem opening them from the class page though. Any thoughts as to why or how to remedy the problem opening them on my computer. It has Windows Vista and IE. Thanks.

Are you sure they were fully downloaded before trying to open? Did you right click on an image and choose open with Windows Media Player?
I was able to download and open the videos with no problem just now, so just trying to troubleshoot where there is an issue for you.Darcy Baldwin

And sometimes, for unknown reasons, on some people's computers, the videos will only play in quick time or the VLC viewer. So, if you've unzipped the files and they don't play try a different player.

That is maddening not to be able to play a video because the player isn't compatible. I ran into that problem and had to resort to VLC viewer. Wasn't comfortable at first with this since it was unfamiliar to me, but appears to work.................

Yes, it was fully downloaded, but I did it again just to make sure. Still won't play. The message says "The selected file has an extension (.mp4) that is not recognized by Windows Media Player, but the Player may still be able to play it. Because the extension is unknown by the Player, you should be sure that the file comes from a trustworthy source. Do you want the Player to try to play this content?" I clicked yes, but it still won't play. I never had any problems on my computer which died a slow death a short time back. I've having to use hubbys and he doesn't have Quick Time or VLC viewer. Maybe if I beg and plead he will let me download Quick Time. Boy do I miss having my own computer. Thanks for trying to help everyone.

Update. I told hubby what y'all said and he said, "Well...did you download it?" I told him no because last time I mentioned it he acted like he didn't want me to put it on his computer." Anyway, he told me to go ahead, I did, and everything is working like it is supposed to. Thanks again!

Oh good! I recommend doing Quick Time first, and then if that doesn't work, using VLC.

Glad you're up and running. I've watched 3 of them last night! They are great. I really, really loved the first one!!! What a kick! I have several photos in mind that I have to try that on right away!
