Hi all
Remember this thread?

Well, Wendy has done a lot more work on my ancestry - bless her! - and as a result I have now found where my half-sister, Deanna, lives and an awful lot more about my origins in life as well. I contacted my local social worker who deals with adoptees who want to get in touch with long-lost relatives and she wrote on my behalf to Deanna to tell her about me and that I would like to meet her.
At first Deanna was a little bit shocked, as you would expect, but she telephoned my social worker who suggested that we write a couple of letters to each other first before actually meeting up. So I have written to Deanna and am waiting for a reply.
And all because Linda thought that MidnightChardonnay was an unusual forum name and suggested that we might like to share how we came about our names![]()
