Default pse 10 when saving boarder is lost

After i edit a photo in pse 10 then save it, the white boarder around the picture is gone. I've never had this happen with other versions of elements. I did switch from windows to a Mac book pro.

    Hi Sue ...

There isn't any difference between how Elements saves using a Mac or Windows.

Could you just let us know how you added the white border to your picture and how you saved the image ?

I responded to you in elements village. When you download photos from your camera they have a white boarder. After I edit and then save the photo to a folder on my desktop. i save the photo by going to a drop down menu under file and choose save or save as. When I checked the edited photo in my folder it's boarder is missing. I've used pse 7 & 8 for years and never had a problem.

    Hi

I have never come across a camera that adds a white border to photographs but maybe one of the others has. Which camera are you using?

I've never heard of a camera that does this either. I've had I think about 5 different digital cameras plus my phone and IPAD. That's wild. Gosh, I must admit, I'm certainly glad none of mine HAVE added a border for the type of work I do. I'd have to hope there was an option to turn if off, otherwise that would be a lot of work removing it.

What type of digital camera do you have what does this?

Know we haven't answered your question, so hopefully someone that has a camera that does the same thing will read this thread and have a solution.

We can certainly tell you how to add a border using Elements if you need to know that. just let us know.

    Take care.

The white boarder around the photo is a function of the Mac operating system. Once the photo is edited the boarder disappears.

I have done a little research and I think I now know what you mean.

This isn't when you are viewing images in Elements but when you are images in the Mac's Finder using the show items as icons ?

What confused me was that you said you had never had this happen with other versions of elements but that you did switch from windows to a Mac book pro.

Windows doesn't have Finder ... its part of the Mac operating system ?
