If I'm looking through my layouts on my computer and they haven't been printed yet and I see something I want to change, I will change it. Start completely over and re-do one, never.

Kyrie, this is a very sensible idea. You have the option in your head that one day you will do it, but at the same time it's never going to happen. I can relate to that thought.

I rarely redo a LO because 1) I'm usually sliding up to the posting deadline and wouldn't have time to redo anything; and 2) I have so many thousands of photos waiting for a first page that it doesn't seem fair to keep redoing a "finished" page. So, I rarely redo a LO, except for typos! I hate typos. I'm a proofreader by nature and instinct. I can't help it. Typos stop me in my tracks when I'm reading, interrupting the flow of the journaling. It didn't used to matter as much because I rarely included much journaling, emphasizing the photos instead. But the Brilliant class, making pages about my life so my kids and grandkids would know more about me, changed all that. I love to tell stories and they all love to hear them, so I started journaling more...and more...and more. Almost every month I could have (if I were faster or more organized, that is) several LOs for each topic but barely manage to get two of them posted. So, rather than redoing a LO, I plan to go back and redo the topics, adding to the pages I've already done.
I work on a LO with all the files on the internal drive, then when it's done, save all my psd files, plus the photos I've retouched or cropped, on an external drive. It's come in handy many times to be able to go back and re-purpose a photo or use a certain layer style that I like. Plus, when I do find a typo, it's easy to change it. You might notice that July's page was re-posted after I corrected typos. I re-saved it as a jpg, saved it for the web, and felt much better about it. As someone else said, I'm glad when people point out typos so I can eliminate the little buggers!
Well, that's my 2¢ worth. Thanks :-)

Fix typo's before printing, yes
Redo a page because my style changes, no, just like clothes and hair styles, time has a way of changing what we prefer.
Reuse my pages as templates, all the time, they look so different when you flip and flop them or even resize them.
Do a page, then swap the photos out with others, why yes, sometimes different photos just look better in the page LOL
Am I happy with every page I do, mostly. I have found the pages I think are just spectacular, doesn't always come off being that way to others. Beauty/art is in the eye of the beholder. We all see things differently.Nikon D60 and Nikon D700

Good idea. I should do that.
My name is Beverly.
I use Photoshop CS2.
I use Windows Vista (but preferred XP)
I have been using Google Chrome, until they updated me and I lost all my good toolbars. Now, I also go back to Internet Explorer from time to time.

I have redone LO's - but it's usually when I'm trying to show a before and after or a change in style to showcase a point I'm making in a thread reply. My style is all over the map and I guess if I were to make a book, it might bother me to have so many different styles in one book, but really, where would it end? From day to day your scrapping styles change. And besides, when you turn the page on your album, can you really remember the details from the previous two pages? And what has been already said, I'll repeat. Your family won't notice a thing. They will be too in awe of the beautiful page of memories.
The only thing I would be concerned about with continuity of an album is that I like my facing pages to have some consistency. When they don't, that bothers me.
To check for errors on a LO, I use the LO as my screen saver. No matter how large I put it in PSE, I can't seem to find the errors until it's used as my desktop photo. That is where I also see things that are "off" on my page - such as an element that is too large or too small or some other technical issue with a LO.
I save all my psd's as well as the jpgs. I have been known to steal an entire section off one LO to put it on another.

Yan... I say just enjoy them how they are. I used to go to a lot of trouble to make sure that I always had two page layouts. I always wanted those pages to fit together, but sometimes the story just doesn't need two pages. I gave up on that idea and just throw them all in together and to me it looks just fine. If I do a special album like a trip I try to make everything kind of work together, but otherwise I don't stress too much about it.

Sometimes I take advantage of a sale on photobooks and just upload my single pages to get them printed. i try to match pages but sometimes a double spread doesn't coordinate well. No one has ever commented and I am happy just to get my story printed and out of the computer and in my hands. And I have been bad about changing font size to a smaller size if I am printing at 12x12. In my defense of course if I am making a themed album I coordinate the kit and fonts etc. My family seems to enjoy the "thrown together" albums as much as the carefully planned albums.

I am doing exactly what Nann does and don't care about opposing pages matching up or not. Just with specific albums, like about a trip, I try to coordinate everything. Other than that my layouts in photobooks are all over the place.
@cats4jan, I find it interesting that you can spot the typos when you have the page as a desktop background. I always find the little flaws once I posted the page online,
