I've been looking at new computers for a while now, too many options are driving me crazy! My latest question is if anyone has noticed a difference between AMD and Intel (i7) processors when it comes to running Photoshop. I'm hoping to get a laptop and have noticed that AMD processor models are quite a bit cheaper than the Intel ones. I've always favored Intel, but don't have any actual experience with AMD. Reviews I've read online comparing the two sound fairly similar, with AMD cited to be slightly better for multimedia. Any comments?
Thanks!

Deb,
There were some versions of Premier Elements that didn't work on AMD processors. But, I think that has all ben resolved now. Basically, check the specs of the software you are buying and make sure they are all AMD compatible.-Trish

Yes, AMD processors are supposed to be better for graphics... and they're very quick. I have a new Samsung laptop (HIGHLY recommended) with an AMD processor and I'm running both Elements 10 and Photoshop CS5 on it with no problems whatsoever. It was my first time trying the AMD processor and I'm impressed.
I have an Intel processor on my desktop... so the best of both worlds!Jan Walker
