I was wondering if anyone has done a tutorial on how to make Rope or Cording in Digital Scrapper?
I have Linda's PSE tutorial 58-02 "Wrapped In Twine" and have not been able to set my Filter>Render>Fibers adjustments so it looks like rope. I wanted one color to be a Chrismas Red and the other color to be a Christmas Green. I don't want the Fibers on the Rope or Cording.
I have a file of what I want it to look like from - Christina Wall from her Nov 2007 - It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas kit but I want to learn how to make my own Rope or Cording. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I would put a copy of the rope in here but I do not know how.

I would just take Christina's rope and recolor it. Would that work for you?

Nann, thank you for attempting to help me with this. I dont't think so since it has two colors on it and it is a png file. I believe I could desaturate it but then only fill the the layer with one color.
I am wanting to learn how to make rope or cording to go around my 2012 Christmas crafts on cards and name tags. I was wanting to be able to use two of the colors from my card or tag in the rope or cording.
Basically I want to make a template that I will be able to choose my own colors for the rope or cording.Kay M

Here you can download some free brushes for ropes and chains. You might want to check it out and see if one of brushes would work for you.

I use Photoshop CS2.
I use Windows Vista (but preferred XP)
I have been using Google Chrome, until they updated me and I lost all my good toolbars. Now, I also go back to Internet Explorer from time to time.

Beverly,
Thank you so much for attempting to help me with this. I had found the top tutorial and made some rope with it but I am still having trouble making it look round enough. Hopefully the other two tutorials will help.
Jan, did you get my email with the png file of the kind of rope/cording I am attemping to make?Kay M
