The Magic of Light—Student Showcase
The Magic of Light—January 2016 Premier
by Linda Sattgast
In our January 2016 issue of Premier—The Magic of Light—we learned how to add our own touch of light to photos or scrapbook pages to make them extra special or solemn or happy.
The results have been exciting with so many wonderful examples of the tutorials posted in our gallery.
The Student Showcase
Below you’ll find a showcase of the best examples by our students from The Magic of Light mini class.
These examples will also be placed in a gallery inside the January 2016 Premier issue AND they will become part of the classroom that will eventually be available as a full class at Digital Scrapper and possibly other affiliate websites.

My Top Pick
This striking page by plm1 demonstrates the inspiring effect of light added appropriately to a photo. It looks believable and draws your eye to the area of interest. Adding the vintage action to the photo and leaving a touch of color makes it even more mysterious and fascinating. And finally, plm1 created a tasteful page using a beautiful heritage frame on a subdued background, and finished with an elegant font for her journaling. Excellent job on this, plm1! ~ Linda Sattgast

Wow, these are all so beautiful. Very talented group.
Wow! These are wonderful examples of our members work on “The Magic of Light”. Thanks for highlighting these for us. I look at the galleries often and am surprised that sometimes I miss the most beautiful layouts . . . so I love seeing this Student Showcase!

These are all so impressive. WOW
Congratulations everyone these look FANTASTIC!
These works are such an inspiration. Seeing them reminds me of numerous shots that I have which could use a visual boost! So inspiring!!!
How impressive! They are all wonderful. I was especially impressed with the winnner’s submission; the lighting is great, but the details in the project are fantastic, from the subtle map for the background, to the delicate frame so characteristic of frames in the 1800’s. Great job!
