every time.
- On the document, create a selection around the area you wish to center something.
- Get the Move tool.
- In the Layers panel, make sure the item you wish to center within the selection is the active layer.
- In the Tool Options, click on the Align Horizontal Centers (Middle) icon and the Align Vertical
Centers icon.

Thank you, Jenifer! This tip is so helpful and I enjoyed the video.
Just a heads up – the “CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE VIDEO AND MANUAL” link above downloads a different video then the one here.
Thanks for the heads up, Mari. All fixed now!
Thanks Jenifer. I remembered how to center two layers, but forgot that you can center by creating a shape with the marquee tool. This was super helpful.
I look forward to all the wonderful tips to enhance my digital scrapbooking skills. My sincere thanks to you. Hugs. 🙂
Wow, how did I not know this after using Photoshop for over 30 years? It’s so simple but a time-saver!
