July 02, 2024 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 22, Issue 26

Hi there!

Which one are you? Are you a half-full or half-empty kind of person?

Early Enrollers
If you are one of the early enrollees in MEL (Stories, My Everyday Life), and you started in January like I did, and you’ve kept up telling stories for the last six months (didn’t have to be every day), then I’m standing here clapping for you. I am celebrating. You and I are slightly OVER halfway finished with documenting everyday life in 2024.

Regroup and Restart
If you started MEL with me in January, but you had to jump ship due to some impossible weeks (we all have them), then I’m embracing you in a side hug, with excitement in my eyes and a grin on my face, I’m encouraging you to start again. Together we can finish the second half of 2024 strong.

If you are one of the rest, who didn’t think you could do it, but find yourself being inspired by stories you’re seeing, then today is the day for you to start!

The great thing about MEL is—it’s never too late to start. It’s not weird to start in July. There’s nothing wrong about it. Now is the perfect time to grab the everyday moments in your week and put them down on paper (in a tiny story format) along with a photo.

Julie L said, “This project is such a wonderful way to keep grounded and look for the positives!”

Diane T said, “I am finding that keeping up these pages is helping me to retain perspective about my life at the moment. The good moments help to outweigh the bad.”

Linda G said, “I really am enjoying this project. The daily prompts cause my mind to venture out into places I don’t often spend much time thinking about. The everyday normal becomes something special and noteworthy. What fun!”

Pat K said, “I started the MEL class very worried it would be too much for me to tackle right now. Just so you know, I think it is the best thing ever for me.”

* 4 styles of 12×12 grayscale templates

Join Us For Template Tuesday!
Last week, I announced a new feature in Community called Template Tuesday. Here’s how it works:

  1. On a Tuesday, choose a template. I chose one from Digital Scrapper Premier Issue 99. I also rotated the template.
  2. Use the template to create a page. I used an add-on kit from Tracie Stroud.
  3. Post your web-sized page in Community.

Spoonful of Sugar Grab Bag Benefit

The scrapbooking community is gathering together in support of Miss Tiina of MissTiina.com (formerly SugarHillco). Miss Tiina is fighting ovarian cancer, and as a small creative business owner, funds are needed!

To raise money, digital designers from around the globe have come together to create a collection of digital products called Just a Spoonful of Sugar. These products can all be used in commercial projects without crediting and all sales go directly to her.

If you’d like to donate beyond the purchase of products, here’s a link to donate additional funds to Miss Tiina.

Thank you for your warm hearts and support of this beautiful lady.

Support Miss Tiina by purchasing the above product collection.

Also, grab the FREEBIE from GS Creations . . .

Last Friday in Friday Favorites, I posted a freebie that Gaye of GS Creations made in support of Miss Tiina. You can find a link to download the following freebie in Friday Favorites.
