🧡 My Two Big Tips for Using Clusters
December 3, 2024 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 22, Issue 48
Hi there!
If you won a magic wish, what would you wish for?
My first thought is – I wish for more time. I never seem to have enough. Because of that, I am always looking for shortcuts to get the most done in the least amount of time.
Let’s Talk About Clusters
Many scrapbooking collections (and even kits) include premade clusters. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and fullness, and they can save you time in the design process of a scrapbook page.
My Two Big Tips for Using Clusters
Unfortunately, using premade clusters can become frustrating. They don’t always fit what you’ve already started with. So, it seems like they are a waste of time. But, try my two big tips for using clusters and see if you find them easier.
🟠 Cluster Tip #1 – Start Here
When you see something that says “Start Here,” it means you do this before anything else. That’s my first tip — start with just the cluster. Before you arrange photos or add other papers and elements, add the cluster to your page. If you do that, every single cluster you own is the beginning of a great scrapbook page. Here are some clusters by two of my favorite cluster designers: Palvinka Designs and Tiramisu Designs.
🟠 Cluster Tip #2 – Look For Opportunities
A nice big cluster should always indicate the focal point of your scrapbook page, so it would make sense to arrange your photos along with that cluster. Here are some examples of where you might put photos with this cluster by Karen Schulz.
Get Started With Clusters
If you don’t have many clusters in your stash, Karen Schulz has a Sampler Pack in Marketplace that is FREE ($10 value) with the purchase of any of her kits. Just put one of her kits in your cart, and the Sampler Pack will be automatically added to your cart.
