🧡 Get creative rest + Turn a tired pattern into timeless vellum – FREE video tutorial

April 01, 2025 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 23, Issue 13

Hi there!

Raise your hand if you could use more rest.

I have both of my hands raised, and I’m trying to get my legs in the air too, but that’s harder to do nowadays!

I recently came across an image featuring seven kinds of rest–physical, emotional, mental, sensory, social, creative, and spiritual. Not to diminish the other six, but one stuck out to me because it’s a big part of who I am and what I do.

How To Get Creative Rest (Digital Storyteller Version)

  1. Telling stories from the past is therapeutic and restful. Getting those stories down on paper is just as restful.
    1. Set perfectionism aside! This is key.
    2. Allow yourself time to daydream and remember.
    3. Write the story as you would tell it to a 10-year-old.
    4. Use informal language.
    5. Write in front of a window to let nature boost your creative flow.
  2. Trying new, low-pressure creative things will give you rest and boost your creativity at the same time.
    1. Keyword: low-pressure.
    2. Our free quick tutorials are a great place to start.
    3. You’ll find a new FREE quick tutorial below. Enjoy!

Love and creative success,
