WOW – thank you so much for sharing this fantastic tutorial. I am so excited to try this!
Well, I have been going the long way around doing this. LOL. Thank-you for the tips!
Thanks for the tutorial! I’ve been slow to use grouping in PSE. This will be what I need to start!
Thanks Jen. I love your tutorials as they remind me to try something new!
Thank you so much Jen. What font did you use for the “Happy Birthday”?
You’re welcome, Shirley. The fonts used on the card are Black Jack and Boulders Beach Script.
Thank you so much 🙂
I always look forward to your tutorials because you share terrific techniques that make our work look even better and I love your enthusiasm. I also enjoy all of the samples you share using that technique. Recently you have been sharing a lot of card ideas with us (which is great). I wonder if perhaps in a future tutorial you can explain the best way of emailing a card; i.e., do you send the front and the inside as separate documents? Or how do you do that thing where you make the card look 3-dimensional standing up (like a tent)? I really learned a lot from the last lesson on Saving a Document for Web and creating a GIF file (after creating that wonderful blinkey card), so that opened my mind to more questions on creating cards and how to best send them. Thank for you all that you share!
Hi plumeria. I am happy to help! Thank you for your kind words.
RE: Emailing a Card
You could just send the front of the card, then type a special message. Or, you could attach 2 images; one of the front and one of the inside/back.
RE: Tent Card Template
I offer a template for the tent card along with instructions. You can find it here in our Fundamentals classroom (https://qwiklearn.teachable.com/courses/393069/lectures/11991439). This classroom is free to enroll in, but you will need to have an account in our school (QwikLearn).
Hope that helps!
This is such a fun technique and the results are fabulous! Thank you for sharing the detailed instructions and all the lovely examples.
I love the idea of clipping the paper/photo to the mask group
