June Layout of the Month

This month our June Gallery filled up quickly with some amazing layouts!

‘Love this View’ from ptabbert really stood out. She said: ‘I was practicing with the Softy Cool overlay technique and thought it made this photo of the Minneapolis skyline look like one of the old postcards I’ve seen. So I added some touches from the Today’s Photos, Yesterday’s Postcards tutorial and created a postcard with it.’

The photo really does look like an old postcard and blends so seamlessly with the colors of the kit. I love the banner with the title and thought the little heart and the leaf sprig balanced everything so perfectly. The touch of turquoise behind it add just the right touch. So nicely done, ptabbert!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for choosing my layout. I really enjoyed the tutorials and the kit in the June 2012 Premier.

Yeah!! This is so beautiful as it takes me back in time. Your technique raised your photo to another level with its realistic enhancements. Your modified bunting with the embellish alphas adds that extra layer of color that brings everything together. Congratulations on your layout of the month. You earned it. Hugs.
