Photoshop Elements 9–Out of Bounds Photo

Out-of-Bounds Photo

I’ve got another video for you to watch on one of the new features of Photoshop Elements 9. It’s a really cool effect called Out Of Bounds. This is where part of the photo appears to stick out beyond the edge of the photo.

I’ve taught how to do this manually, and let me tell you, this is a lot simpler! All the steps are written out for you right inside Photoshop Elements 9, but I do add some information in my video that should be helpful to you.

Watch this video first, and then try it yourself! If you don’t have Photoshop Elements 9 yet, you can download a trial version from the Adobe website. You’ll find Out Of Bounds by clicking on the Guided tab in the Editor. It’s listed under the Fun Edits section.

If you have trouble viewing this QuickTime video, try these helpful suggestions.

      Hi Dawn!

For the deal at Costco, you do have to be a member. Usually one or two times a year, they have a coupon that allows you to purchase PSE for $40. It’s not something they ::have:: to do, but they have done it for years. Many people wait for that deal to come before upgrading. Thanks!

It usually doesn’t take place right away, unfortunately. They may have a good deal right before Christmas, or they may not. It’s hard to say.

This was a good video. I hope you create another Scapper’s Guide DVD for PSE9 that we can order off your website to help us since it’s not included with the Costco purchase. I would also like you to include how to use PSE9 to create background pages for Twitter, Facebook, My Space, and Blogger. I have been trying to find help to do with no luck. Thanks!

Thanks for your thoughts. I’m in the middle of an online class now for PSE9. When it’s over, I’ll have the online class available.

Where can I find a written copy of the steps? I’m new and need a visual that I can refer to. Great as usual. Thanks
