I have been dragging my feet. I just got around to ordering my 2024 Stories: My Everyday Life book. I got it in the mail last week and I wanted to give you peek at the quality.

I’m always a little nervous about using a service to print books. I just hate to spend all that money and be disappointed! Thankfully, there were no regrets here.

— I uploaded 52 12×12-inch scrapbook pages into Printique‘s photo book software in minutes. It only took five additional minutes to get it exactly how I wanted it to look.
I think I was checking out and paying within 10 minutes! I’m SO glad it was quick and easy!!

— When the book came, I had it out of the box, and I was flipping through the pages in seconds.

My first thought was — “THANK YOU!! The pages were not printed too dark and the colors look true.“ This is not always true with other printers and it’s one of my biggest pet peeves!

My second thought was — “WHEW! I’m so glad I can see the pretty patterned papers in the gutter.” I typlically like to order layflat books, so I was a little worried I wouldn’t be happy with this classically-styled book. I was surprised that every pixel of every scrapbook page seemed to be visible on every page of the photo book. No details were lost. What a relief!

— The new Classic Hardcover Book comes with a vellum page in front and in back. I LOVE it! I feel like the vellum gives the entire book a “finished” feel, and I didn’t feel like I needed to create a cover page . . . yay for me!

— I already know that “you get what you pay for” in photo books, so I don’t mind paying a little more for superior quality. But since I ordered my book during a sale, I got a great deal and more bang for my buck . . . again, yay for me!

— My biggest takeaway, however, was the amazing quality. I know this book will be handled by little kids and big kids (who are not really kids at all). So I’m thrilled by how sturdy the cover and binding are. Unlike other books I’ve ordered, the pages in this Classic Hardcover Book feel like they will withstand decades of page turning.
