Template Challenge

Happy Fall, everyone. I love this time of year! Did you know that this very week is an important week in the history of Digital Scrapper?

Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you: it’s Digital Scrapper’s 9th birthday! Isn’t that so cool? Not too many digi places are celebrating their 9th birthday. We’ve been around for a long while!

To celebrate, we’ve got a fun new challenge for you. Today we are granting the many requests to have a Template Challenge!

Wanna peek at our beautiful template created by Barb Brookbank that you get to download for free? Check this out:

Would you like to see how the amazing Creative Team used this template?

I think it is so clever how roseb used the great big flower photo as her background. I think this page is so artistic and beautiful!

connieg:

I love the way connieg added the paper snippets at the bottom of her page to create more depth and the way she incorporated her journaling into one of the blocks of the template. Very clean, and such an awesome page!

Nann:

Nann has a fun take on this template — she rotated it so it’s vertical rather than horizontal. As you can see, she didn’t just add pictures to all the squares from the template — she was very clever and added various patterned papers and only used one photo. I think this is very clean and such a fresh look!

Barb:

Barb, the creator of this template, did a lovely job, sliding the squares up to the top of her page rather than keeping them in the center, how the template originally came. I love the way Barb used this month’s Premier kit, and what a gorgeous & humorous layout this is!

I used to always wonder if people could truly personalize a template and make their page look unique. Clearly, our awesome CT was easily able to do that with this template! It’s amazing to me how different each of these layouts turned out, when they all started with the same template.

Want to have a turn at it? Be our guest!

Here’s how to join us in this fun challenge:

1. Download the template by clicking here.

2. Create your own page with any kit you love, and show us how you’ll use this template!

3. Post your individual pages in the Template Challenge Gallery.

4. Leave some love on the other pages in the gallery. (Not required but highly encouraged!)

This challenge is open for approximately 2 weeks. It will officially be closed to new entries on the night of September 18th, 2012 at midnight (Pacific Time).

We will announce the winner and post the winning layout here on the Digital Scrapper Blog, our Facebook page, and in our forum within a week of the challenge end date. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to our Digital Scrapper Shop that can be used towards Photoshop Elements & Adobe Photoshop Video Tutorials and awesome kits and templates! (Note: Gift Certificate codes cannot be used for existing or future Premier Membership.)

Also, by popular demand, our Easy Page Design Class is back! Find out the details here. Need more? Linda Sattgast has her NEW Easy Page Design 2 Class starting this week! Don’t miss out on that — this class starts on September 6, 2012, and trust me, it’s awesome! (Aren’t all things Linda teaches awesome? I think so!)

I hope you all are enjoying your last few weeks of summer!

Happy Scrapping!
