Glint in her Hair – Using the Lens Flare Tool

Sometimes all we need is a glint in our eye, a shine in our hair, and a hop in our step — sometimes, all we need is Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

Step 1: Find a Photo

  • Choose File > Open.
  • Choose a photo.
  • Click OK.

Step 2: Create a Flare

  • Choose Filter > Render > Lens Flare.

  • In the pop up window you will have some choices:
  • Move the cross hairs to where you would like the flare to be. I chose a highlighted part of hair.
  • Brightness: 40%
  • 35 mm Prime

  • Click OK.

Step 3: Repeat

  • If one glint isn’t enough, repeat Step 2, moving the cross hairs to a new position.

  • Click OK.
