Welcome to Digital Scrapper!
This page is provided to help you get the most out of the Product Link Sheet.

How can the Product Link Sheet benefit you?

  • The sheet will save you time when looking for the specific wording/spelling of the names of kits, designers, classes, videos, etc.
  • The sheet will save you time when looking for links to all of the above.
  • The sheet will allow you to search for products using a single word, a designer/instructor name, or a tag/keyword.

In the following paragraphs, I will cover:

Add HTML Links to Gallery Layouts

Adding HTML links in the description section of your gallery pages produces the clean, uncluttered result you see here:

This is the preferred method for linking to things like kits, videos, and classes.
Why would you want to add links to your gallery pages? Viewers of your page might want to lookup the supplies you used on your scrapbook page. Giving them a direct link to the product in the store will save them a ton of time.

Here's how to add HTML links to your gallery page description:

  • Go to the Product Link Sheet.
  • Locate the product that needs to be credited. I needed to credit Christmas Wishes by Kristin Cronin-Barrow. So I found her kit on the sheet. See image below.

  • Click once on the HTML link of the product you are after. See image below.
  • Press Ctrl C (Mac: Cmd C) to copy the HTML link.

  • Go to the Edit Photo Description section of your gallery upload. See image below.
  • Place your cursor in the description preview window.
  • Press Ctrl V (Mac: Cmd V) to paste the HTML link.
  • The HTML link contains the name and author of the item, so there is no need to enter more information about that product.

This is how your link will look on your gallery page after you save. (See image below.) Now, if someone wants to make a page just like yours, they can click on your gallery links, buy the products you used, and be a happy scrapper! Don't look now, but I think you just created World Peace. 😀

Note: Gallery guidelines ask that you do not link to products outside of Digital Scrapper. Please credit outside products, but do not link to them. Thanks!

Add Standard Links to Gallery Layouts

Adding standard links in the description section of your gallery pages is not going to look as clean as the previous technique, but it provides for more flexibility when adding credits. Here is how your description area will look like if you add standard links:

Here's how to add STANDARD links to your gallery page description:

  • Go to the Product Link Sheet.
  • Locate the product that needs to be credited. I needed to credit Christmas Wishes by Kristin Cronin-Barrow. So I found her kit on the sheet. See image below.

  • Click once on the standard link of the product you are after. See image below.
  • Press Ctrl C (Mac: Cmd C) to copy the standard link.

  • Go to the Edit Photo Description section of your gallery upload. See image below.
  • Place your cursor in the description preview window.
  • Press Ctrl V (Mac: Cmd V) to paste the HTML link.
  • The HTML link does not cleanly give the viewer the name of the product or the author. You will have to enter that information separately.

Product Link Sheet Updates

  • We will keep the Product Link Sheet updated monthly.
  • If you find an error or need to ask a question or have a special request, please contact the moderator (listed at the top of the sheet).
  • You do not have permissions to alter, edit, or sort the sheet. (See sorting options.)

Bookmark the Product Link Sheet

Bookmarking puts an icon or phrase in your browser that contains a direct link to a webpage. It is a super quick way to access a webpage you use over and over again.

If you don't save the link of our Product Link Sheet somewhere, it will not be very useful to you.
Here's how to bookmark the sheet in the three most popular browsers:

  • Go to the Product Link Sheet.
  • Press Ctrl D (Mac: Cmd D) or choose Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page from the Menu Bar.
  • Choose the place where your link will be displayed in your browser.
  • Click Done.

Sorting Items on the Product Link Sheet

The Product Link Sheet is currently sorted by categories (Kits, Videos, Classes, etc.) and then by alphabet (A–Z). But there are other things by which you might want to sort, such as by designer or instructor or Premier#.

Can you change or add to the sort order directly on the Product Link Sheet? No. I'm sorry, you cannot. However, I do have a couple options for those of you that would enjoy this type of control.

  • Download the Product Link Sheet to your computer. Once it's there, you can sort to your heart's content. This webpage is not intended to teach you how to do that, however. So please use Google to find methods for sorting spreadsheets using your software.
  • Create your own spreadsheet online, then copy/paste our data into your spreadsheet. Again, you'll have complete control.
  • Doing either of the above things has one setback—updates only occur on the original Product Link Sheet.

Searching for Items or Tags on the Product Link Sheet

This is perhaps the best thing about the Product Link Sheet—searching for items via keywords or tags. Why?

  • Let's say you are looking for a Christmas kit. If you search for "Christmas," Google will show you all the products tagged with (or containing) the word Christmas.
  • Let's say you want to learn more about the Gradient tool. If you search for "Gradient tool," Google will show you all the products tagged with (or containing) the words Gradient tool.
  • Let's say you want to find all kits and videos produced during Premier #48. Search for "48," and you'll know where to look.

Here's how to search:

product-link-sheet-img8

  •  Google will highlight each of the references it found matching your exact keyword or tag. See image below.

  •  If you click on the arrow in the search bar, Google will show you each matching reference one at a time.

Using Tags

Attention: We've just started adding Tags to our Product Link Sheet. Please be patient with us as we work to add data.

We use a long list of very specific words and phrases when tagging our products. Using our specific tag list when searching products will provide the best results for you. Here is where you can find the list and how to use it when searching:

  • Go to the Product Link Sheet.
  • Click on the Complete List of Tags/Keywords tab at the bottom of the sheet.

product-link-sheet-img11

  • There are 16 categories of tags (tools, styles, etc.) and a long list of tags under each category.
  • Find a tag you'd like to search for from the list.
  • Click once on that tag. See image below.
  • Press Ctrl C (Mac: Cmd C) to copy the tag.

product-link-sheet-img12

  • Click on the Product Link Sheet tab at the bottom of the sheet to return to the Product Link Sheet.
  • Press Ctrl F (Mac: Cmd F) to access your browser's Find feature.
  • Press Ctrl V (Mac: Cmd V) to paste the tag into the search bar.
  • Press Enter or Return to begin the search.
  • Google will then highlight the items containing that tag. See image below.

Caution: Misspelling a tag will produce improper results. That is why we recommend copying/pasting from the Tag sheet.

Thank You! I did start to do something similar myself some time ago – with a view to organising all my premier kits and videos at this end, but never finished it. This is such a fantastic resource!

Fab-YOU-lous Jen! As the website designer for a large company, I keep track of everything in a very similar manner and I know how much work is involved in the initial set up and maintenance. Awesome to see that this will be available for all of us to use.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the reminder, Jen. I began using the Product List Sheet when you-all created it originally…then forgot about it!.

This is a very helpful tool. I appreciate the reminder and will use it again now that you brought it to my attention.
